Sustainable Mobility: Ridesharing and Electric Vehicles
Description
As part of the GERAD thematic semester on sustainable mobility, this seminar explores two key challenges in urban transportation systems: ridesharing and electric vehicles.
Two presentations will address complementary problems in operations research and transportation analytics:
- Ben Hudson — incorporating user preferences (habits, safety, familiarity) into ridesharing systems
- Nima Moradi — last-mile logistics through a multimodal system combining electric vehicles, delivery robots, and pickup points
These contributions highlight how user behavior and emerging technologies can be integrated into the design and optimization of mobility systems. The seminar will conclude with a discussion period.
